Mindfolk — Solana NFT community and validator staking
Mindfolk launched January 1, 2022 and quickly gained momentum. Non-custodial staking rewarded holders with $WOOD for delisting; soon after, “workshop” actions granted carpenter or lumberjack skills that boosted building or token accrual—unlocking cabins, boats, and surfboards.
By April, the token loop showed strain. Add-on mints and systems increased complexity; even with usability fixes, sentiment slipped and price followed.
The plan: simplify and rebuild with Mindfolk+. Cabins, ships, surfboards, and pirates would morph into mint capsules for a larger collection—guided by a DAO and transparent milestones.
Engage-to-earn bots, agency partnerships, and evolving art kept embers lit, but questions lingered about direction and sustainability.
After a hiatus and scandal, the treasury thinned and the IP went up for sale. A failed transfer stalled momentum—until the founders agreed to hand the project to the community.
Now the 10,000 Mindfolk are inscribed and immutable. The helm belongs to the holders. Time to set sail.
